Closed: Mondays, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Day,
Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Independence Day, and
Sundays during July and August.
Inclement Weather Policy: For the safety of our visitors
and all-volunteer staff, Discovery Station will be closed
on any days that all Washington County Schools
are closed due to ice, snow, or other conditions that may
pose a hazard for vehicular travel and pedestrian access
to the museum. School closings are announced on local broadcast
media, or visit http://www.wcboe.k12.md.us/content/main_delays.cfm for
a more complete list of notification outlets.
Occasionally, Discovery Station holds special events during which
the museum is closed to the public. Also, the museum may be
closed on certain days before or after holidays if volunteer staff is
unavailable. At times, the museum may be temporarily closed
to visitors during scheduled changes of large exhibits. Please call

Annual membership is $50.00 (Washington County residents)
or $60.00 (non-residents) with a $10.00 annual charge for
each additional family member residing in the same household.
Grandparent memberships, available at the same fees, may include
grandchildren with different residency.
Membership benefits include full-year admission to Discovery
Station, 10% off Treasure Gift Shoppe items with membership
card. Admission to 260 participating
museums beyond a 90 mile radius of Hagerstown in the U.S.,
Canada and other countries with membership card. Card is nontransferable.
Grandparent membership cards and gift cards are available.

Length of Visit
It is suggested that visitors allow 90 minutes minimum. Time
of visit varies depending upon visitor interests, interactive
participation, programs, and film viewing.

Corporate memberships are available from $200 annually for 25 or fewer employees
to a maximum of $5,000 annually for 2,000 or more employees. A corporate membership
offers many business and employee benefits, including admission and gift shop
discounts, “Discovery Dollars” and free admission coupons for employee
recognition, facility use for business meetings and events, and more.

Corporate sponsorships for
exhibits, displays, and galleries are also available with
the corporate sponsor's name and logo prominently displayed
and viewed by as many as 11,000 visitors a year.
